Cassettes

Holy shit you guys, this project was no joke. When I thought of making cassettes as a bonus for this release, I assumed it was going to be a fairly straight forward process. What I didn’t realize was how much time it was going to take to cobble these sons of bitches together.

The plan you see, was to get some cheap blank labels and print them out. But when you try to save a buck, it complicates the process. Not impossible, but you’re walking into something with blind assumptions.

Something I hadn’t considered with these labels, was how to size the designs appropriately. Believe it or not, there are dozens of templates out there. I had attempted three incorrect designs with sizing/re-sizing before realizing my printer was running out of ink mighty fast. So, I had to pivot. Something fun occurred to me at this point. Rubber stamps might save a buck. haha!

A white dagger.

Ok, well, that’s my story. Here’s these things again.

original

Remember the 80s? and even sometimes the 90s? well, that is correct. It is the 20s and cassettes are back. The Scissorkicks have made a cassette and you are able to collect one of these limited editions.

  • Open this baby up to read the lyrics and sing along.
  • Put this baby back and probably never look at it again.

Sorry friend, these are all gone.
